Offering the T’Sou-ke Nation and Sooke Community a well established highly sought after Preschool Program. Our facility is licensed by the CRD and owned and operated by the T’Sou-ke Nation.
Our program is run by a certified Early Childhood Educator. The staff holds valid first aid certificates and are dedicated to offering families a safe, nurturing environment where their children develop emotional, language and social skills according to their individual readiness. The children explore everything from numbers, colors and shapes to even incubating their own salmon eggs in the classroom.
We are continuously working to developed an enriching First Nations Language and Cultural program specific to our Nation. Which we implemented throughout the year into our curriculum. This involves the SENĆOŦEN language, and various cultural aspects and teachings of our nation. We do this through interactive songs, games, stories and activities. We incorporate enriching materials like puppets, drums, carvings, food and music. We also invite T’Sou-ke First Nation members to participate and have regular Elder visits.
PreK PROGRAM 2023/2024
FULL DAY PreK
Eligibility: Any child 4 years old. (Must turn 4 by Dec. 31 of enrollment year.)
PLEASE NOTE: T’Sou-ke Nation and Status Aboriginal children are given priority in program
Program runs 5 days a week. M-F
Hours: 9:00 am to 3:00pm
Fees: $600 month
Children are required to bring own snacks & lunch.
2023/2024 REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration Begins January 16, 2023 at 8:30am for T’SOU-KE NATION.
Registration Begins February 13, 2023 at 8:30am for STATUS FIRST NATIONS CHILDREN (children must have their own Status or Métis card) AND CURRENTLY REGISTERED CHILDREN. Spots are given First Come – First Serve. All registrations are to be dropped off at the T’Sou-ke Nation Administration office. Staff must date and sign all registration forms as they come in.
Registration begins March 1, 2023 at 8:30am for GENERAL PUBLIC. All registrations are to be dropped off at the T’Sou-ke Administration office. Staff must date and sign all registrations forms as they come in.
All Registration Forms must be COMPLETELY filled out or WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Please ensure your child’s form includes:
- Start Date
- Childs Personal Health Number
- Please attach 2 photos of child
- Copy of child’s immunization
PRE-K START DATE: September 5, 2023
DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION: All registrant’s accepted into our programs will require a deposit of $300.
